Semillas
Begin When You’re Ready—The Seeds Will Wait

Semillas began as a quiet companion during the creation of Doodle Me This. At first, I wasn’t sure if it would ever see the light of day, but as the year unfolded, it became a small token of gratitude for those who supported me throughout that journey.

Each page of Semillas is an invitation—softly whispered—to pause, reflect, and explore. Within its pages, you’ll find mirrors and doorways, sparks of light and seeds of thought. Some may grow into forests; others might dissolve into the wind. There’s no right or wrong here, only the gentle rhythm of turning pages and the curiosity to uncover what lies beneath the soil of your mind.

More than a book or a journal, Semillas is a wide-open field where you can plant what you will and harvest what you need. It’s a space to nurture creativity, embrace self-discovery, and let your thoughts take root.

Begin when you’re ready—the seeds will wait.

The Cover
The cover of Semillas draws its influence from the simplicity and mystery of a seed. A negative image set against a black background symbolizes what lies beneath the soil—the unseen, the abyss, and the unknown realms of possibility. It represents the fertile ground of the reader's mind, waiting to be explored.

This design echoes the journey within the pages of the book: an invitation to delve beyond the surface, through doorways of thought and imagination, and into the depths where creativity and self-discovery take root.
The Inside
Inside Semillas lies a deeply personal collection of prompts and reflections, each born from moments of stillness, challenges, and growth in my own life. As I turned inward—facing questions that stretched my understanding of self, navigating uncertainty, and finding clarity in quiet moments—I began to craft these pages as both a mirror and a guide.

Every prompt within Semillas is a seed, shaped by my experiences of self-discovery, and offered to you as an invitation to explore your own depths. Some pages emerged from moments of introspection, others from navigating the unknown, and many from the simple yet profound act of pausing to listen.

I also dreamt of creating a Spanish version of this book for my parents and extended family. I wanted them to read these pages, to embark on this journey themselves, and to understand me in a way that goes beyond what they already know. Through this, Semillas became not just a personal endeavor but a bridge—an offering to connect my inner world with theirs, and perhaps with yours too.

The Illustrations
The illustrations in Semillas are inspired by the delicate microtextures of the natural world—patterns found in leaves, the veins of a petal, the contours of soil, and the intricate forms of seeds.

These textured, organic forms are designed to evoke a sense of connection with the earth, grounding the reader in the beauty of simplicity and encouraging a closer look at the quiet intricacies that often go unnoticed. Just as a seed contains the potential for a forest, each illustration reflects the idea that the smallest details can hold vast meaning and inspire endless imagination.
